Summer 2009 MenuWe have created a delicious and nutritious lunch and snack menu for our summer program! You may now download our Weekly Menu.
Field Trip Departures and ReturnsOur programs often have very tight time constraints. Please ensure children are at the program by 9:00 am as we usually plan to leave for our field trips by 10:00 am.
Our program is often exploring different parts of the lower mainland using public transportation and a community bus. Occasionally traffic congestion, bus schedules, forgotten belongings and other factors make it a challenge to maintain our arrival times.
Punctuality is important to us and tops our list, but sometimes we do not arrive at the centre at the exact time we have posted.
Most days we will be back by 4:30 p.m. and for longer trips we will post a notice of the estimated time of arrival.
Please give us 15 minutes leeway on our posted travel times just to be safe. Thank you in advance for your understanding! We appreciate it!
While in our care every child's safety and well being is our primary focus. First aid kits, emergency information and allergy and medical alerts are kept at the centre and taken on all field trips. Jericho Kids' club ensures that all staff have current first aid certification and are familiar with our comprehensive Emergency Procedures Manual. We strive to make our program adventurous while following safety standards and guidelines.
Camp ByngOne of the highlights of our summer is the trip to Camp Byng a 200-acre campground on the Sunshine Coast. We leave on the Wednesday morning and return tired, dusty and happy on Friday afternoon. Because we have a limited number of spaces available, priority is given to children who are attending all summer. Camp Byng is open for children in Grades 3-7 to register. Download our Camp Byng Parent Package!
Snacks and LunchesJKC provides nutritious snacks and lunches during the summer program. Yummy! Yum! If your child requires more food than we provide or a specific diet, you may prefer to send food from home. Please only send nutritious food and healthy drinks. Do not send candy or junk food!
T-ShirtsJericho Kids' Club has specially designed T-shirts for children to wear when participating in activities out of the centre. These shirts help us to easily identify Kids' Club members. Shirts will be kept at the centre and distributed before leaving on field trips.
